Carolynn Fredericks ~ The Ballroom Wardrobe

When I decided to return to dancing after a break of many years I was sorely in need of new shoes “Where do I go for shoes?”  I asked.  “Where do I get hold of a practice skirt?”

Then a bit later I found myself asking “Where do I get a dress for this upcoming competition?”

Over the years I’ve found that everyone who takes up dancing (either socially for pleasure or competitively) asks the same questions and I thought  “Wouldn’t it be handy if there was somewhere where you can walk in and talk to someone who has been through it all and find those bits and pieces that you need”. 

The idea stayed (in fact it wouldn’t go away).   I particularly liked the idea of somewhere that catered for mature women who love dancing and competing.  As you get older the style of dress you feel comfortable in changes somewhat.  I wanted something is made for dancing but that is as elegant an evening dress.  In short - something that would allow me to move easily but would stay in place. 

As a result The Ballroom Wardrobe has been created.  We have shoes, accessories, practice skirts AND competition dresses all in the one place.  We cater for all ages and levels with a special interest in those who are just a bit older.  So whether you are just starting out or have been competing for years you’ll find just what you need.
